Yvonne has been practising yoga since 2006 and teaching since 2018. She completed a 350-hour Yoga Teacher Diploma from triyoga, London with an additional certificate for her specialism in Restorative Practices.

During the 60 minute 1:1 Restorative session, Yvonne will guide you through 4 or 5 postures, both symmetrical and asymmetrical. Restorative yoga poses are all floor-based and are held for between 5 – 15 min. While this might sound like a long time, bolsters, blankets and blocks will hold you comfortably in place. This enables you to really relax into the pose, reconnecting with your breath whilst being fully supported. The practice increases your well-being whilst the calming and safe environment lifts your mood, contributing to stress relief.

Yvonne has had a long career as a HR Business Partner which has given her great insight into the importance of wellbeing in the workplace. 15.4 million days were lost to stress-related sickness last year, and of those, 44% cited their reason as excessive workload* (source). Restorative Yoga allows the nervous system to shift from “fight or flight” into a relaxation state. It fills the body with a total sense of ease, counteracting the stress built up throughout the week.

Yvonne also practices what she preaches, and now works part-time for a better personal balance, which enables her to offer Restorative Yoga here at the clinic.

You can also find Yvonne teaching Restorative and Hatha Yoga classes with MoreYoga in corporate and private classes; she also assists Anna Ashby and Panilla Marott at Triyoga Camden and Shoreditch.
