The Pimlico area of London

Pimlico is a small area of Central London in the City of Westminster. It is bounded in the north by Victoria Station and to the south by the River Thames. Vauxhall Bridge Road is to the east and the old Grosvenor Canal to the west. It is a historic area with the heart of it being the grid of residential streets laid out by Thomas Cubitt from 1825. It is now protected as a conservation area.

The main central part of Pimlico is where we started, bounded by Belgravia Road, Churton Street, Upper Tachbrook Street and Gillingham Street. The central crossroads of Pimlico are Warwick Way and Wilton Street.

Although Pimlico is in Central London, with Westminster Abbey for a parish church and Tate Britain for the local museum, the area still has the feel of a small village. There is a wide selection of specialist, independent shops and plenty of places to eat and drink. There is also one of the best osteopaths in London!

How to find us from Victoria Station

Pimlico and Vauxhall stations are our closest underground stations, but Westminster, St James and Victoria are also within walking distance. We’re also handy for Victoria and Vauxhall overground stations, so you can book an appointment for an assessment or treatment on the way to or from work if you commute via these stations.

Insider tip – If you’re coming from Victoria and struggle with directions, just head from Victoria Station to Vauxhall Bridge Road and walk down to the river. From there, turn right, and as soon as you pass Tate Britain, you will see the highrise of Millbank Tower. Don’t worry – we are just on the first floor, with lift access!
